If the world's largest cupcake weighs 1,224 pounds, does it still qualify as a "cupcake"? Doesn't that just make it a really big cake?

In any case, a triple vanilla cupcake with pink frosting created in Michigan on Saturday was officially declared the world's largest by the Guinness World Record. It included 800 eggs and 200 pounds each of flour and sugar, and was estimated at about 2 million calories. Yikes.

Suprisingly, it doesn't actually appear to be that large, size-wise...I would think the world's biggest cupcake would be at least 6 feet tall, no? If you're going for big, you might as well make it gigantic. I'd want to feel dwarfed by the cupcake (and also make it harder for anyone else to beat my record).

And the cupcake craze continues...
