It's happened to the best of us -- you're in a restaurant staring at a three-inch thick wine tome. All the names and numbers are blurring together, and the pressure's on to order the right bottle of wine to go with your dinner, whatever it is you're ordering (pasta? steamed fish? barbecued chicken? a ribeye?). Well, if you have an iPhone, you're in luck -- you can download special apps that's help you find a wine to pair with food on the fly. Macworld.com has a nice rundown of three new wine programs: Hello Vino, Wine & Dine and Vino for Dinner, weighing the pros and cons of each. Not to ruin it for you, but if you're interested, the author picked Vino for Dinner as the winner of the three.
